Community Service Family Pharmacy strives to be very active in the communities surrounding each of our 19 locations. In years past, we have supported such charities as the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society and The Children's Miracle Network. This past year, we raised $5,000 to benefit the American Diabetes Association through donation and matching funds. We also participated in the Hunger-Thon to benefit the local Food Harvest. Through radio efforts we were able to help raise $25,000. Each year we participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. Our lake area locations raised over $2,000 and our Christian County locations raised over $5,000. As active members in each of the local chambers of commerce, we are involved in such programs as Adopt-A-Class. We have participated in such activities as "Stuff the Packs" which is a program to fill backpacks for students in need in conjunction with Least of These and OACAC. In December 2004, Family Pharmacy created a program to help employees and customers who find themselves in need. The Family Pharmacy Helping Hand Fund was a long-time aspiration of Lynn Morris. He knew there was a need within the organization to reach out to employees. The fund acts as a "Helping Hand". Employees donate to the fund as they choose. Should an employee need assistance, they can request or be nominated for monetary assistance or we will purchase the items they are needing. Family Pharmacy will continue to reach out to the communities in which we are located and beyond. Lynn & Janet Morris & Michael and Carolyn Langston strongly believe in supporting those in need through promotions in the stores and outreach efforts. |
